| Anne Hennessy, CSJ is presently a sought-after lecturer, Retreat Facilitator, and Spiritual Director. Anne is a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange, and has served as the Assistant Director of the Living Water Institute in Tabgha, Israel, and a professor at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. Her area of focus is the Synoptic Gospels, the geography and history of Galilee, and the spirituality of contemporary pilgrimage to Holy Land. Anne received her Ph.D. in Theology in Christian Spirituality for the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, and has published numerous writings including The Galilee of Jesus and “Contemplative Pilgrimage to the Holy Land,” Prayer and Service.
Cecilia Magladry, CSJ, has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech Communication, Education and Theological Studies from Humboldt State University, Loyola Marymount University and Washington Theological Union. Her interests include spirituality, prayer, mysticism, and retreat direction.
Christine Hilliard, CSJ, has an undergraduate degree in History from Marymount College and a graduate degree in Theology from St. John’s University in Minnesota. Scripture is at the top of her “favorite topics” list with spirituality and Church History running close seconds.
Claire Frazier-Yzaguiree, MFT, M.Div. is a licensed marriage and family therapist, ordained minister, and family life consultant whose specialties include cross-cultural issues, anxiety reduction, stress and time management, compassion fatigue and spiritual development, as well as family and marriage ministries. With her husband John Yzaguirre, Ph.D., they co-direct the Prosocial Institute in Irvine, California.
Cyprian Consiglio, OSB Cam, is a monk, musician, and spiritual teacher. An internationally known performer, recording artist, and composer, he has numerous collections of original sacred, world, and liturgical music to his credit. A student of the world’s spiritual traditions, Consiglio has offered retreats and conferences around the world and authored one book plus numerous articles for several books and periodicals.
Daniel J.Miller, Ph.D., received M.Div. and Th.M. degrees from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from the Claremont School of Theology. Dan’s interests are in Christian spirituality, spiritual formation and pastoral care, liturgical spirituality, and the relationship between the mystical and prophetic dimensions of faith.
David Hoover, MTS, has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Philosophy, Theology, and Spirituality from Rockhurst University and from the Franciscan School of Theology at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. He has a special interest in the Contemplative and Mystical traditions and the ministry of spiritual direction.
Ellen Jordan, CSJ, has an undergraduate degree in Dietetics and Food Administration from California State University, Long Beach and a Masters degree in Theology from the Graduate Theological Union, Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley. Currently she is a Masters candidate in Earth Literacy from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. Her special interests include Eco-spirituality, Scripture, and spiritual development.
Felix Just, SJ, Ph.D., a member of the California Province of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), is the Director of Biblical Education at the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, CA, Academic Coordinator of lay and deacon formation programs in the Diocese of Las Vegas, and a gifted and much sought after retreat presenter. Felix, who has a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Yale, has taught at numerous Jesuit universities.
Greg Boyle, SJ, founded Homeboy Industries in 1992 as a response to the civil unrest in Los Angeles. As Executive Director of Homeboy Industries, the largest gang intervention program in the U.S., Father Greg is recognized as an expert on gangs and gang intervention approaches. Father Greg recently authored a best selling book, Tattoos on the Heart.
Gregory Tabat, M.Div. During the past decade he has spent five years as an Associate of the Institute for Spirituality in Orange, CA creating, coordinating and giving presentations, spiritual direction, retreats, workshops, and teaching. Developing a deep reverence for nature and awareness of environmental concerns, he spent a year in the weekend program at the Sophia Center at Holy Names University in Oakland, CA studying spirituality and the environment. He is currently a member of Justice Partners of Orange County, a small group which promotes and supports the programs of JustFaith Ministries such as this one.
Helen Szekely, CSJ, Ph.D., is a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Social Worker. Sr. Helen has lectured nationally and internationally on various aspects of Family and Marital Therapy. Sr. Helen is the author and creator of Treasure Your Marriage, a five-part DVD series that shows how to meet marital challenges of today and forge a marriage that can be truly treasured.
Jenny Ocegueda-Reynoso, MA, has over twenty years as a Catholic educator and most recently serves as a Facilitator in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Diaconate Formation Program. Jenny has provided numerous retreats throughout her career in conjunction with her role as a religious educator.
JoAnn Tabor, CSJ, has an undergraduate degree in English and Art from St. Joseph College and a graduate degree in Educational Administration from La Verne University. On going education has included theology, spirituality, and art. She has a great interest in Centering Prayer and serves as a spiritual director as well as member of Formation Team of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange.
John P.McAndrew, M.Div. over several decades has facilitated days of recollection, retreats, workshop presentations, seminars and spiritual formation on topics such as addiction and recovery, 12-step spirituality, social justice, and ethics and conscience formation.
Madeleva Williams, CSJ, has an undergraduate degree in Art from the University of San Diego and has completed graduate work in Art at Immaculate Heart College, Los Angeles under Corita Kent and at California State University, Los Angeles. Madeleva integrates art and spirituality while encouraging confidence that each person is a special kind of artist.
Margaret Scharf, OP, a Doctoral Candidate, has graduate degrees in Spirituality, Religious Studies, and Intercultural Studies from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia and Gonzaga University, Spokane WA, enjoying such topics as history of Christian spirituality, feminist and children’s spirituality, and James Fowler’s Stages of Faith Development. As Composer-in-Residence, she is commissioned to write liturgical music for a variety of audiences.
MaryAnne Huepper, CSJ, has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Art History, Religious Studies, and Theology from Loyola Marymount University and the University of Louvain, Belgium. Church history, world religions, art and interreligious dialogue are among her passions.
Michael Crosby, OFM, is a Capuchin Franciscan whose ministry revolves around his attempt to proclaim the Gospel of God’s Trinitarian reign and the conversion that is required to bring about the Trinitarian relationships of equality at all levels “on earth as it is in heaven.” Michael has been a pioneer among Catholics in promoting corporate reform, and his preaching and writing on contemporary biblical discipleship has taken him around the world. He has written seventeen books, and all of his latest books have received awards from the Catholic Press Association of Canada and the United States.
Stephen Corder, SJ, is the executive director of the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in Orange, California. A member of the Jesuits of the California Province since 1990 and a priest since 2001, he holds the doctorate of ministry specializing in spirituality from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago, IL. He also completed the licentiate in sacred theology in the area of spirituality at the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley along with training in the art of spiritual direction. Fr.
